Overview

Mountain View Community Church is located between an idyllic small town at the edge of the Cascade Mountains and the edge of Seattle’s urban sprawl. This is a fast growing and quickly diversifying community where people are seeking its beautiful life and awesome schools. We believe God is doing something here and are seeking God’s man for the full-time role as Pastor of Student Ministries, to lead a ministry of reaching, discipling, and empowering students to serve the Lord locally and abroad.

We a Christian Missionary Alliance Church (See some of the denominational characteristics here https://cmalliance.org/who-we-are/). Our youth program draws from Glacier Peak High School with a smaller group attending a few other schools. Students attend actively events such as periodical CMA events, mid-week Bible study, Tuesday night youth group, winter retreat, summer camp, and local mission outreach events. As a result of recent changes, the ministry reached a low in student numbers but is currently growing. The pastoral and ministry staff receive a lot of professional and personal development and work together in a collaborative environment.

Position Description

We are looking for a candidate who is

• radically devoted to the way of Jesus

• gospel and mission focused

• able to engage in tough cultural and theological issues and dialogue while modeling a commitment to grace and truth

• able to inspire, teach, and equip the next generation of kingdom minded Christians.
