The Alliance NW is committed to spiritual health in the soul of the Pastor. Creating avenues for rest, reflection, and renewal is one of the greatest challenges a leader faces, but is essential in having a sustainable life-giving and productive ministry.

 

Events

 

 
Retreats 
o      Renewal Retreat:  This annual retreat is specifically designed to offer leaders and their spouses a beautiful place to rest, recover, and connect with other AllianceNW pastors and leaders. Each year a carefully chosen communicator addresses the inner life of the leader.  The retreat is held during the 2nd or 3rd week of January in Canon Beach at the Surf Sand Resort (HYPERLINK “http://www.surfsand.com/”www.surfsand.com/), a quaint resort hotel located right on the beach. o      “Space for God”: This 3-day experience is designed for smaller groups of leaders (8-12).  It includes guided times of solitude and reflection, followed by interaction with others.  The event is usually located at Mt. Angel Monastery (HYPERLINK “http://www.mountangelabbey.org/”www.mountangelabbey.org/), a uniquely contemplative setting designed to nurture the leader’s spiritual journey.  For information on this retreat contact Morris.
 
Spiritual Directors:
Christian leaders are re-discovering the importance of Spiritual Direction in their spiritual formation and health. Veteran pastors from across the Pacific Northwest are formalizing their training as Spiritual Directors so leaders can find the right “soul friend” – someone who will come along side them in their spiritual journey.  (Look here this fall to find a Spiritual Director.)Retreats
